Programme includes extracts from Stravinsky Firebird Suite, Tchaikovsky Fifth Symphony plus Sibelius Karelia
Suite with performances by Chetham’s ensembles including Violetta Strings, Guitar Orchestra and Chetham’s Sinfonia.

14 year old Norwegian cellist, Mirjam Kammler, will also be performing the first movement of Säent-Sains Cello Concerto No.1.
The concert is given in aid of the Monastery Trust. Gorton Monastery is a Grade II listed building, nicknamed "Manchester's Taj Mahal", and in the top 8% of all buildings in England.
