Chetham's Chorus

Chetham's Chorus is constituted regularly from those pupils not involved in orchestral performance in large-scale concerts. It builds on the weekly tuition received by all pupils in Choral singing, throughout the school. This reflects the philosophy of Chetham's that all pupils should sing and develop their aural skills and musicianship through this activity.

Chetham's Chorus perform Poulenc's 'Stabat Mater' at Manchester's Bridgwater Hall

Recent successful performances have included Poulenc's Gloria, recorded by Classic FM, Walton's music for Henry V, available on CD, Britten's Ballad of Heroes, Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture and Poulenc's Stabat Mater, also available on CD.
