Chetham’s School is a fantastic place for learning music and academic subjects. When I received the information pack a few months before I started Chets, I read the countless letters saying: the pupil will need to prepare this and that, will need to bring this and that, and will need to remember this and that.
My impression was that life at Chets sounded so hard, stressful and difficult to cope with. Also, there were so many different places at this school that we had to go to, that it sounded like the most demanding and daunting place to cope with on the planet earth! However (thankfully!), when I first came here, I found out that there wasn’t much to worry about. This was because the people here were so friendly and helpful; they helped me in everything I needed assistance with.
After one short day at Chets, I felt that the school was already a familiar place. Moreover, time seems to fly faster at Chets than anywhere else (one year in fact feels like a few months).
Now the school year from 2008 to 2009 has almost ended and you would be magically transformed into the year above. Things are very clear, understandable and easy to cope with at Chets which not only lets you learn from quality teaching, but lets you encounter the brilliant, friendly and cosy atmosphere at the school.
