Just one of the amazing comments from over 70 delegates who attended our second Early Years Music conference in November 2009. The conference lasted two days and delegates came from as far afield as the Isle of Mull, Bristol and Hertfordshire, as well as many from the North West region.
Hosted at Chetham’s, delegates - who came from Surestart centres, nursery schools, primary schools, music services and private education providers - attended introductory sessions and development sessions led by some of the leading figures in early years music-making. The emphasis was on practical workshops, stimulating ideas and resources which could be applied in early years settings.
Topics included Music-making with Young Children, Learning the Kodály Way and Bridging the Gap- incorporating music, dance, story-telling, drama and art.
