Chetham’s Caterers, Sodexo, has enjoyed a high profile in their company competitions. At the Salon Culinaire competition Mike Bielby, Gaz Collinson and Jenny Brotherton walked away with awards for their culinary creations.

Recently Chetham's Symphony Orchestra performed as part of the Lancaster Institute of Contemporary Arts under the direction of Paul McCreesh and Stephen Threlfall.

In mid October a number of students and staff left the Manchester autumn behind and headed for Australia to take part in a series of musical events organised by “The Commonwealth Resounds”, coinciding with the Commonwealth Governments meeting in Perth.

Our latest "Builders' Blog" as now online in the New School Building section of our website.
If you have walked past site this morning you will have noticed something missing from the building site! Tower Crane 2 was erected in June 2010 and has played a pivotal role in the construction of the new build. After 16 months, the crane was removed during this last weekend. The removal of this crane marks the start of the final push to completion. With the crane removed from the building, the internal finishes to the academic school (located on Level 3 and 4 above the Concert Hall) can now be completed. It will take around two weeks to infill the openings left by the crane and finish the roof so that these spaces are 'watertight'...
