A new School building will be constructed on land purchased adjacent to the current Chetham’s. The building will combine the Music School, the Academic School, an outreach centre, a 400-seat concert hall and a 100-seat recital hall.
The site is triangular in shape, bordered by Victoria Station Approach to the north east, Hunts Bank to the north west and Walkers Croft to the south. A new bridge links the new School building to the existing School campus, connecting with the existing main entrance lodge adjacent the School campus entrance on Long Millgate.
