As well as intensive one-to-one tuition, the department's programme of classes, workshops and projects is extensive, and includes improvisation, sight reading, Alexander Technique, keyboard skills and events such as the annual Beethoven Piano Competition. The list of former keyboard students includes Peter Donohoe, Stephen Hough and Paul Lewis, and reads like a Who's Who of international concert pianists!
“ The atmosphere at Chets is just incredible – I've loved the feeling of being surrounded by music and musicians. The support we all receive both from staff and our own friends is wonderful - it's been good to be around people who understand my love of music and are striving for the same thing .” Cordelia Williams - piano
