THE NEIL VINT BURSARY
for former students of Chetham’s School of Music
Neil Vint, a student at Chetham’s from 1984 - 1988, died tragically in 1994. In his memory, his parents have established a Bursary Fund to help young musicians as they begin their professional career. The conditions of the bursary are:
• The Bursary of £1000 is available to former students of Chetham’s who are aged between 20 and 26. • Preference will be given to students who have recently left music college or university. • Awards will be made by Chetham’s from the Neil Vint Bursary Fund. • One award will be made annually, following an advertisement placed in the music press.
Written applications for the 2008 Bursary should be received by the Head by 1 June. Applicants should include details of their education and professional career, and state why they would find the Bursary useful. The successful applicant may be invited to visit Chetham’s during this year (travelling expenses will be paid for this visit). Please send applications to the Head’s PA, Chetham’s School of Music, Long Millgate, Manchester, M3 1SB
